Biography

DJ Roko, also known as Roland Kieff, hails from the West Midlands, UK, and now resides in Glasgow, Scotland. Influenced by EDM luminaries like Tiesto, David Guetta, and Calvin Harris, he creates music with dramatic drops and catchy melodies. His creative process is inspired by Depeche Mode, Human League, and Kraftwerk, blending nostalgic emotions with futuristic sounds.

Diagnosed with dyslexia at age seven, Roko faced bullying and turned to music for comfort and self-expression He embarked on a self-taught journey, honing his skills with a keyboard and learning to DJ at seventeen.

As DJ Roko honed his skills, he began to perform at local clubs and parties. These gigs helped him gain confidence and build a fan base. He worked hard to balance his music career with his responsibilities at his father’s engineering business. Many nights were spent playing music while others were asleep.

Despite facing rejections from record companies, he persisted and collaborated with musicians to produce genre-defying music
